3rd Activity

Sound's Experiments 2

Secondly, all the class, students and teachers should grab items that make some noise. Items like stones, leaves, pens, pencils, metal cars, a bag with nuts, sheets of paper, a horn of a toy, a metal or plastic box, anything. They can also use their hands to clap or any sound they can make with their body. After everyone find how to make a sound, teachers have the difficult job to conduct their orchestra! Teachers must give the rhythm and organize when any "instrument" will play, like a real conductor!

Or else, children must divide to teams, where each team will make a sound that resembles something to them. Then the teacher can create a story, which must contain all these sounds. So teacher will tell the story and kids will correspond with their sounds. A sound-story.

    Now see examples....

Here is a small sound-story, using stones, woods, reeds, branches with leaves, castanets, bottles with nuts, metal bottle with pens and plastic or paper bags:

Once upon a time, there was a small frog living peacefully......

frog's sound, made by slapping stones, woods and reeds.mp3

.....near a calm river.....

river's sound, made by a metal bottle with pens.mp3

.....Suddenly it started to rain.....

rain's sound, made by plastic and paper bags, and branches with leaves.mp3

.....So, our little frog.....

frog's sound, made by slapping stones, woods and reeds.mp3

.....went under a tree to guard against the heavy rain.....

rain's sound, made by plastic and paper bags, and branches with leaves.mp3

.....As it was resting, it listened to some steps, approaching.....

steps' sound, made by castanets.mp3

.....and because of its fear, it jumped in the river.....

river's sound, made by a metal bottle with pens.mp3

.....But the river was to strong and our little frog swept along, down near the sea.....

sea's sound, made by bottles with nuts.mp3

.....There, it met another small frog, exactly like it, so they became friends. And they lived well for a long time....!!!!!
